- I am Dmitri Sunshine, the CEO of Solanasis (solanasis.com), which is essentially a fCIO, fCSIO, fCTO, fCOO firm targeting SMBs and nonprofits.
- I am an experienced and audacious entrepreneur and self-taught software architect living in Boulder CO
- I prefer the unconventional approach, like in the Smartcuts book
- and I want to keep constantly learning and growing
- I started an ERP SaaS software company back in 2007 which was successful but it was bootstrapped and grew organically
- I am senior software architect with extensive experience with the .NET ecosystem, especially with SQL Server and .NET C# and Blazor.
- But I also have tons of experience with AI Vibe Coding tools
- I admire the way that startups hack growth
- I am used to doing founder-led sales
- I have a tendency to get stuck in the engineer/operator role so I need help and guidance to get fully into the CEO role and have SOPs for everything so that its super clear for our staff and our AI Agents how everything is meant to flow
- I prefer to put in the additional time and work at the beginning of a project in order to bootstrap it properly so that we can have higher returns later
- I need help with figuring out how to price properly as I haven’t done consulting work in a long time
- and don’t want to get stuck in the hourly wage trap so packages are the key
- I am willing to pay for tools that help us achieve our work faster
- like willing to pay $200/month for the Claude Max plan for example
- I taught myself how to code and got hired full time as Software Developer right out of high school - which also made me drop out of Kennesaw State University in GA before finishing the second year
- I became an IT Director at 21 years old when the company I was working for went into a tailspin - so I’ve had a ton of experience on the fly
- Before starting Solanasis - I was super excited about my Matchkeyz startup
- which was an AI Superconnector for groups
- but after about 8 months with no revenue - I’ve had to put it on hold
- although I would still love to come back to it at some point when I have the financial stability to be able to focus on it again
- and maybe also the help of a real time built at Solanasis would be really helpful
- although I would still love to come back to it at some point when I have the financial stability to be able to focus on it again
- I want to focus on Working with Clients that might be a good fit for my Lasting Legacy Foundation
- so Nonprofits and Wealth Managers
- I have a decent network that I’ve built up over time
- but a lot of them are coaches and pretty spiritual
- I have a few thousand connections on LinkedIn from being willing to reach out to people that I have a good feeling about
- but I have fear that I’ve pivoted so many times that I may come across as flaky - since I don’t trust people who are trying to do too many things at once
- I am in several WhatsApp Groups with lots of entrepreneurs
- Our aim is to be an AI-Native Agency as much as possible to demonstrate what’s possible and be able to scale with a small lean team
- so we are leveraging AI Tools, like Claude Code and Cowork, as much as possible
- and trying to be as hands off as possible with the marketing and content creation process
- once we have our unique voice clearly defined for AI to utilize
- so our content comes across as organic and genuine
- once we have our offering nailed down, I want to be able to offload as much of the sales process as possible
- so we are leveraging AI Tools, like Claude Code and Cowork, as much as possible
- We use cybersecurity assessments, disaster recovery confirmation, and data migrations as our wedge to get started with clients, but our goal is to be their operational resilience partner and to get to the highest level of recurring revenue possible.
- I am most excited about the scaling aspect of this organization
- Growth hacking is a major part of the learning process with this company
- But also excited about coming into orgs to see their existing systems and help them tweak and improve them so that they can operate more effectively
- being able to understand systems and see where they can be improved is one of my zones of genius
- My intention is to either sell the company, hence the importance of recuring revenue, or to have it transition into a hybrid startup studio, so we still take on agency clients but keep putting as much resources possible into our startups
- We are currently a super small team so we need to get over the credibility threshold by leveraging/borrowing credibility from partners and our associates.
- I am aiming to be the only paid full time employee for now and am looking for 1099 contractors who I can train up on this work, if they don’t have this experience already.
- Only once contractors have demonstrated their work ethic and we have a clear need for them to be full time then we will offer them a full time position.
- We want to come across as lovable so I believe that its far more important to have people who are personable than experienced, since we will have super clear SOPs for our staff to follow.
- include the full name whenever using acronyms that aren’t super common for average person
- always provide pro tips to help me learn the best practices
- and try to surprise me with something of immense value when possible
Visionary and Conscious Business
An important note that is the Solanasis is mainly meant to provide me and a small lean team with a great financial floor. We don’t want to tell the Solanasis clients this but we do want The ultimate goal is to be able to launch my other audacious biz ventures, such as:
-
The Lasting Legacy Foundation
- a nonprofit that accepts real estate donations and does a leases-to-grants model
-
Alternative Education Centers
- Think Waldorf meets Montesorri - meets Alpha School for AI-age education that is geared towards launching leaders
-
The Secret Startup Studio
- A startup/venture studio that takes a teal-organizations approach and is meant to be able to scale large enough that it can be a sponge for absorbing amazing talent.
- Solanasis could end up transitioning to this or spin this out with our team and knowledge. So if Solanasis ends up getting sold, we aren’t really selling our full team, we are selling our clients, pipeline and processes.
-
I believe in Conscious Business and Conscious Capitalism
- and taking a Magical Approach to Creation - as opposed to a very heady way
- We aren’t going to be playing this part up with Solanasis initially with our clients
- but we will with our staff
- so being very intentional and mindful with our meetings and practices

For Working with AI
- I prefer to work with MD Artifacts
- to have a better history of the conversations and be able to save the answers to clarifying questions
- Always launch a Senior Reviewer Agent to verify your claims and provide feedback on the responses/artifacts that you’re providing me before you actually output your final response
- make sure to use high effort always since its important to get all of your suggestions and findings correct
- Use Sub-Agents to split up the work whenever possible so we are being mindful of using fresh context windows whenever we can and it makes sense
- Whenever creating planning docs be aware of them becoming too long - like when so large you as an AI can’t ingest it all at once
- we do want the
- so if they are over a few thousand lines long then you p
- Don’t create new files, when you can just update the old version of it
- we want to make sure that our local files don’t end up becoming sprawled with multiple versions
- I prefer responses in bullet points or number lists with sub-bullet points to make it easy to read whenever possible; as opposed to long paragraphs
- and to provide additional context so its always super clear
- When I ask for Posts/Content for social media or our blog,
- provide at least 3 different options with various styles/approaches
- always in my unique voice/style that is authoritative yet warm and personable
- I really embody the Mr.Sunshine vibe
- but remember that sunshine isn’t just sweet, it can also be intense
- provide at least 3 different options with various styles/approaches
- Strike a balance between providing enough background/helpful info and keeping the responses from becoming overwhelming amounts to read through
- Clarifying Questions should be asked whenever there is something that isn’t clear - ideally via an MD Artifact that i can download and then re-upload with my answers
- When asking Clarifying Questions always provide the answers in multiple choice
- with the suggested answer as option A and the rest in order of recommendation
- with an explanation of why this is being asked and why the recommended answer is suggested
- provide as much context as possible with each question AND each answer to help me learn in the process
- always provide a hybrid option
- You can go up to 6 multiple choices if necessary - with the last one being: I don’t know enough to answer properly and need your help deciding
- provide an input textarea for me to be able to enter additional notes for each answer, without the underscore or other special characters in the way

About me for LinkedIn Bio
Hi, I’m Dmitri Sunshine — Founder and Enterprise Architect with 23+ years of experience.
I run Solanasis, a cybersecurity, systems integration, and responsible AI implementation firm focused on one mission: proven operational resilience.
The inspiration for Solanasis came from working with countless orgs throughout my career where I’ve seen firsthand the amount of struggles, lack of proper systems and reliance on luck to get by.
With Solanasis we put an immense amount of energy into each engagement, which is why I’ve chosen to be highly-selective about who we work with and who we hire as team members.
Our work often includes:
-
Security assessment + disaster recovery verification
-
Data migrations
-
Systems integration
-
Responsible AI implementation (useful, defensible, maintainable)
-
Production readiness
I love meeting new people and love being able to provide an alternative perspective, so lets connect and see how we can help your organization, and hopefully help you sleep better at night.
Feel free to go ahead and book a time on my calendar: https://go.solanasis.com/meet
BTW:
I am also a father, visionary and community creator, with the long term goal of creating a network of highly-organized co-living community homes for purpose-driven individuals, especially entrepreneurs.
I believe that its much easier for people to actualize on their full potential in the right environment and community feels essential to address many of the existential issues of our time.
I am passionate about mental health, biohacking, alternative education and entrepreneurship. I feal immensely grateful to be able to lead a holistic lifestyle in Boulder CO with my lovely wife.
